Jacket Construction

The pattern for the jacket was developed from a combination of a this pattern and McCall’s trenchcoat cosplay pattern M2014 “Trenched”. It was first mocked up in muslin then constructed with a red cotton twill for the outer fabric and red Kona cotton for the inner lining. This achieved a nice medium-weight drape and flow. The Flamel symbol was scaled up and printed on paper, then transferred to black cotton twill. It was topstitched into place on the back of the jacket.
